Is my friend right to be angry?

My friend doesnt think this guy likes me, but i kind of like him. I get with him on nights out, and he's started to text me and he met me when we were both sober. My friend thinks he's using me and he doesnt really like me. I agree BUT he's like my call and im his.. im having fun with him and im not looking for anything serious with him! Its my choice to keep meeting him and texting. Is she right to say its "him or me"? If i dont stop she says we are no longer friends. I dont think this is fair. If i end up looking stupid thats my fault. I dont like being told i have to stop... What should i do?? please help, i dont want to fal out with my friend
